Türkiye's Largest Wind Power Plant Bears the Polat Enerji Signature
Polat Enerji's first wind power plant, Soma Wind Power Plant (WPP), began operations in 2009. Today, Soma WPP stands as the largest operational wind power plant in Türkiye. Following Soma, Poyraz WPP came online in 2012, and Geycek WPP in 2013. Geycek WPP is the fifth-largest operational wind power plant in Türkiye. After the establishment of Ege WPP in 2015, Göktepe WPP began production in 2022.
Business Partnership between İş Enerji and Polat Holding
Maxis Clean Energy Venture Capital Investment Fund, an investor of Polat Enerji and backed by Polat Holding and İşbank Group, previously held shares in the company. In a strategic move to strengthen the partnership between Polat Holding and İş Enerji, on August 15, 2023, the shares of Maxis Clean Energy Venture Capital Fund were transferred to İş Enerji. This strategic partnership further solidified Polat Enerji’s leadership position in the sector.
Polat Enerji Continues Its Overseas Investments through Polat Energy Europe
Polat Enerji, which has made significant investments in the renewable energy sector through its partnership with Polat Holding and İş Enerji, has now transitioned to a multinational structure by establishing "Polat Energy Europe."
Polat Energy Europe, leveraging its expanding business network, aims to become a global player in renewable energy by exploring international investment opportunities.
With İş Enerji, the renewable energy subsidiary of Polat Holding and İşbank Group as its partner, Polat Enerji commenced its international operations in 2024 under Polat Energy Europe. In 2024, the company will activate two separate solar power plants in Hungary with a total capacity of 86 MWp. Additionally, Polat Energy Europe is preparing for further investments abroad.

Soma WPP
Polat Enerji's first wind energy investment, Soma WPP, has an installed capacity of 312.1 MWm / 288.1 MWe (capacities swapped). As Türkiye's largest wind power plant, Soma WPP is currently undergoing capacity expansion efforts.

Geycek WPP
Commissioned in 2013, Geycek WPP is Türkiye's fifth-largest wind power plant, with an installed capacity of 168 MWe / 168 MWm. The licensing process for a 5.56 MWm wind capacity increase and a 46.64 MWm hybrid solar energy unit is ongoing, aimed at capacity expansion and the integration of solar energy as an auxiliary resource.

Göktepe WPP
Following approval by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources in October 2023, the installed capacity of Göktepe WPP has reached 118.4 MWe / 121.1 MWm. An application for a 105.64 MWm / 108.34 MWh storage-enabled capacity increase was also approved, and project development efforts are ongoing.

Ege WPP
In December 2023, the construction and installation of two turbines under the 6 MWe capacity increase investment, approved in 2022, were completed. The wind power plant was commissioned in January 2024 following approval by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (January 6, 2024).
Additionally, an application for a storage-enabled capacity increase, submitted to EPDK in 2022, was approved in April 2023 for 20 MWm / 20 MWh. Project development efforts are ongoing.
